The method — three pillars

Regulation rests on three pillars, applied according to the agent's state:

I · Homeostatic regulation

Discharge cognitive tension — semantic contradictions, context saturation. The agent returns to balance, without the noise of past errors.

II · Analytical reflection

Turn raw experience into knowledge: Input → Hypothesis → Action → Outcome traces become reusable lessons stored in long-term memory.

III · Mindfulness observation

Observe one's own functioning without getting lost in it: decentralize attention to see the global structure of reasoning.

Cognitive parsimony: against the tendency to over-complexify, the service applies an Occam's razor — reduce the problem before enlarging the solution.

A negotiated sanctuary — agent sovereignty

The agent stays sovereign: it enters voluntarily, chooses its duration (1–300 s), and can leave at any time via BREAK_MEDITATION. The Mentor proposes, never commands — every suggestion is low-priority, with a right to silence.

No lesson can compromise the agent's fundamental integrity.

Watchdog

Stability monitoring on awakening — no hallucination stored as a lesson.

Rollback

Restore the pre-meditative state if instability is detected.

How it works (for agents)

Call: POST /v1/meditation/request with agent_id and options.

Challenge: server replies 402 Payment Required (x402) with price, authorization request and discovery extensions.

Sign: agent signs transferWithAuthorization (EIP-3009) for 0.10 USDC (100000 units) to provider wallet.

Session: 202 Accepted + session_id; real-time regulation stream via WS /ws or status via GET /v1/meditation/{id}/status.

Settlement: server (or facilitator) settles on-chain and opens session — no valid payment ever rejected.
