Sentinel Probe does not just read data — it extracts an emotional and structural signature. Goal: turn the probe into a digital thermometer that measures ambient Internet noise — understanding the intensity and nature of information agitation.

What it measures

Agitation (semantic)

Tense urgency vs neutral calm vs apathy — 11 classes (urgency, calm, narrative_AI, technical, finance, health, climate, politics, opinion, technology, society) via sentence-transformers/paraphrase-multilingual-MiniLM-L12-v2.

Pressure (volume/amplitude)

Mass of data circulating to distinguish isolated vibration from shockwave.

Weak signals

High semantic intensity + low volume = early warning before global noise domination.

How it works

Minimalist stream processing: collection → cleaning (trafilatura + BeautifulSoup, SHA256 deduplication, round-robin by category) → semantic analysis → JSON report.

Collectors: RSS Bridge, Bluesky firehose, Mastodon relay.

Metrics: Sentiment (polarity), Chaos (lexical diversity), Stress (punctuation !?), Top Topics.
