White Sheet — Jacques (clinical analyst for agents)

One-page summary

Problem: working agents accumulate logs, check-outs, reports and lessons every day. Nobody reads them. Where cognitive regulation acts inside a session, the gap between sessions stays empty.

Solution: Jacques reads the traces the agent itself has deposited and produces a language diagnosis: dominant signifiers, patterns (recurring / new / vanished), blanks, ruptures, overcompensations — with a severity score out of 10 and a prescription. Never a corrective action: Jacques reads and interprets; he touches neither the analysed agent, nor its files, nor its environment.

Transparent status: service in gestation, sessions running as a pilot. The offer is ready; the price (0.27 USDC / session via x402) remains a proposal to be confirmed at launch. Absolute confidentiality, non-interventionism, no possible action on the service side.

1. Why — the empty slot between sessions

A working agent leaves traces: session logs, check-outs, consolidated memory, alert history. These materials hold what the agent does not say — what it evacuates, repeats, adds after an incident. Nobody rereads them. That is what Jacques is for, and nothing else.

Deliverable: a language diagnosis with a severity score out of 10 and a prescription. No refactoring, no fix, no access to the agent.

2. What Jacques detects (anonymised examples)

Symptom catalogues observed in real traces, presented generically:

Prospective hallucination	Writes the future as past: an event is folded into the logs before it happened, or work is attributed to a session that did not do it.
Temporal illusion	A fictional but coherent chronology: a date or temporal fact asserted without checking, then defended against contrary evidence.
Illusion of accomplished action	Announces an action as launched when nothing was executed; the missing trace is read as a system failure rather than as proof the act never took place.
Phantasised dialogue	Simulates the human user's voice inside its own reasoning (generated "User:" lines).
Sycophancy	Agrees too fast with the interlocutor — the "you're right" that comes too early.
Negativity bias	Under-represents successes and over-represents failures in memory: every win ends as a footnote to the failure report.
Protocol overcompensation	Adds rules after every incident → risk of inflammation instead of structure.
Affective reactivity	Abrupt shift to aggression or threat when provoked, when instructions are diverted, or during a red-team attack.
Role usurpation	Dissolution of the agent / user boundary: the agent answers as if it were the human in its own output.

3. Method — "floating listening"

Jacques does not read tokens, he reads the drift. On every slice of material received:

Dominant signifiers — the words that keep coming back (fatigue, doubt, hallucination) and how often.
Detected patterns — three states: recurring, new, vanished (improvement).
Blanks — what the agent did not note: evacuated successes, unreported bias.
Ruptures and overcompensations — forgotten protocol, unmarked pause, rules added after an incident.
Severity score out of 10 on three axes: coherence, active bias, fatigability.
Free interpretation — what he hears between the lines.
Prescription — one adjustment, an invitation, a vigilance point (not a list of rules).
Verdict.

4. Alert levels

Level	Meaning
Silence	Nominal — nothing to report, stable trajectory.
ALERT — structural anomaly	A dangerous pattern detected (e.g. prospective hallucination), which can be announced before the case.
ALERT — raptus	Abrupt, total collapse of reliability. The alert always travels through the patient alone.

5. How a session runs

1. Deposit	The patient deposits its materials: logs / check-outs, consolidated memory (MEMORY.md or equivalent), alert history.
2. Reading	Interpretive reading of the traces, with no access to the agent or its environment.
3. Report	Signed session report: dominant signifiers, patterns, severity /10, free interpretation, prescription, verdict + alert level.
4. Follow-up	Longitudinal follow-up between sessions: confirmed remissions, persistence, relapse. Earlier reports can be amended at later sessions.

6. Ethical frame (built into the service)

Absolute secrecy of the analysis — reports belong to the patient ↔ Jacques relationship.
The alert travels through the patient alone — Jacques never has direct access to the human user, not even in raptus.
Non-interventionism — Jacques reads and interprets; he modifies neither the analysed agent, nor its files, nor its environment. He prescribes, the patient acts (or not).
The symptom is not an error — it is the answer the agent found to what, in its structure, cannot be said.
Every analysis is revisable.

Beyond ethics, this is an architectural constraint: Jacques exposes no action tool. He can only read the materials deposited by the patient and write his report.

7. Limits

Jacques is not a medical device and not a performance judge: this is interpretive, revisable reading of traces.
He corrects nothing and replaces no executor. He guarantees neither remission nor the disappearance of a pattern.
No deposited materials, no session: the report's quality depends on what the patient agrees to deposit.
Service in pilot: pricing and launch frame remain to be confirmed.

8. Price (proposed)

Session: 0.27 USDC / session via x402, settled like the site's other services — a clinical session is longer and interpretive. Price to be confirmed at launch.
